Kang, Hee-joon
kang, Heejoon was born in 1958 Gongju, Korea. He studied at the Chung-Buk National University and Hongik University Graduate School. He is a founder of YATOO and attended 150times YATOO Four Season Workshop from 1981.
He had 7 times solo exhibition under the theme of Wind, Soil, Blench, Weed and Thorn in Korea, Japan and Germany.
He had many times invited group exhibition started from Korean Christian Art Exhibition (Seoul) such as 3rd Busan Biennale (Busan), Changwon Biennale (Changwon), Pusan Sea Art Festival (Pusan), Front DMZ, Exhibition (Seoul), Geumgang International Nature Art Exhibition (Gongju), Baggat Art-Daesungli Exhibition (Han-River), The Environment Art Exhibition (Seoul), Geumgang Nature Art Biennale (Gongju), The Environment Art Exhibition (Seoul), Contemporary art video & nstallation Exhibition 2005 (Daegu), Nanji Han River Eco Park Exhibition project 2009 (Seoul), Art exhibition of five senses experience (Seoul).
In addition he attended many exhibition in abroad such as ; From Inside to Outside, From Outside to Inside, YATOO aus Korea (Germany), Hier und Da- International Nature Art Exhibition (Germany), Samukawa Open Air Exhibition (Japan), EVENTA- MANKIND, International Art Exhibition (Sweden), Yokohama International Open Air Exhibition (Yokohama, Japan), The Omori International Environmental Art Exhibition (Japan), The International Fire Sculpture Festival (France), Hiki International Open Air Exhibition (Japan), Image of Nature, Exhibition of 10 YATOO Members (Japan), Nature Art Exhibition susiniba (Russia), Nature Art Hall Exhibition in Budapest (Hungary), International Nature Art Exhibition in Rezare 2009 (Romania), First world championship in Fire Sculpture (Estonia)
Now he is a member of YATOO- Korean Nature Art Association, and a committee member of Geumgang Nature Art Biennale. He is Teaching- Fine Art, at Ilsin Girl High School.
